Thank you for standing up for us the people that pay for all there crazy ideas I went to buy a gun today,they have made it ileagle to buy a semi automobile rifle but you can still buy pistols there’s realy no diferance to law abiding citizens. The pay by mile will realy hurt the working period im retierd so I don’t drive much but like you siad this is byllshit.
This pay per mile tax does not affect every citizen the same. I live in Blaine, and need to go to doctors and dentist appointments in Bellingham. Some of my shopping is also done in Bellingham.
However, a person who lives in Bellingham will not have to pay as much as I do to go to Bellingham. This tax is NOT FAIR to people who live in rural areas. Why are they punished because they don’t live in or near Bellingham. I’m 83 years old and a retired teacher and don’t have a lot of money. This tax would make it expensive to go to my medical appointments. However, people who live in Bellingham wouldn’t have to pay very much tax! It is just common sense that this tax is not a fair tax to rural citizens.
The hell with more taxes, been paying for these roads for over 40 years and they want more $$, what ever happened to our 30 dollar car tabs we voted in ?

We’re taxed too much in Washington state. Seniors are barley living on what SS gives us. I had to go back to work at 79 to be able to pay my bills. adding anything like to pay by mail dI won’t be able to go any where. Maybe if possible MOVE out of Washington
I can\’t live on what I get right now and if this is passed I\’m going to have to figure how I can move out of the state. I can\’t afford a electric car and living on $250 a month had me looking for a job at 79 years old. They aren\’t thinking about how elderly live and how this will affect them.

I am more for knowing where the tax money goes than taking more out of my pocket. Seems they have no regard for that. What about the folks that commute to OR? Do I get charged for those miles too? What If I take a long road trip out of state? What about those miles? Over a dollar a gallon goes to taxes. That adds up quickly. Where does that money really go??

This new proposed tax is just one more way for the far left state government to get more of our money to squander. I definitely oppose this new tax. The big question is how would they obtain the information to bill the vehicle owner/citizen? One more reason our state government has failed under the Democrats.
