The official picture from the bill signing ceremony — our opposition is forever memorialized. The people do not accept this injustice.

Bill signing ceremonies are intended to manipulate the truth.

They’re meant to convey: “Look at all the support there is for this.”

When it came to the Democrats’ gutting of the Parents Rights Initiative, Ferguson wanted to be surrounded by only backers to give people the ILLUSION it’s popular.

He didn’t get that.

Here’s the official picture from Tuesday’s bill signing ceremony:

Governor Ferguson signs Engrossed Substitute House Bill No. 1296, May 20, 2025. Relating to promoting a safe and supportive public education system through student rights, parental and guardian rights, employee protections, and requirements for state and local education entities. Primary Sponsor: Rep. Monica Jurado Stonier

I’m very proud to be in the official photo because I was there to represent the overwhelming majority of voters who are repulsed by the Democrats’ attack on Parents Rights as well as their assault on the people’s right to initiative.

Brandi Kruse posted this additional video about this:

I certainly understand why this is worth a smile.

But it’s also something I take very seriously.

On April 28, I filed a referendum on this bill to give the people the chance to “voter veto” it.

But Secretary of State Steve Hobbs obstructed it by refusing to follow the law requiring him to send the referendum to the Attorney General for a ballot title (and petitions cannot be printed without a ballot title).

It’s infuriating!

So I’ve taken 2 actions to fight back:

1) On June 4, the State Supreme Court will consider my lawsuit against Steve Hobbs ordering him to abide by the law and process the referendum (my closing brief is due this Wednesday).

2) On June 6, there will be a hearing in Thurston County Superior Court on my Recall Petition of Steve Hobbs for violating his oath office by refusing to follow the law.

At both court hearings, I’ll of course be bringing my governor’s pen for the Courts to sign the Proposed Orders in those cases:

I’m doing everything I can to restore the Parents Rights Initiative and to protect the initiative and referendum process.

I welcome your feedback.

Because of your support, I am appealing the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling because it’s so absurd:

* Lifetime ban on all future political activity?
* $8 million?
* Prohibiting me from earning money for the rest of my life?
* I’m no longer a person, I’m forever designated a ‘continuing political committee’?
