They only had 44 days, they needed to turn in 325,000 signatures, and they literally blew the roof off! It’s really inspiring.Â

Talk about a jaw-dropper.
After weeks of delays only 44 days to, the heroes at Let’s Go Washington collected and turned in a total of 546,002+ signatures on the final day at 4pm (more got turned in by the 5 pm deadline).
Let’s put that in perspective.
To qualify, they needed 325,000 valid signatures.
The Secretary of State recommends 405,000 to be totally safe.
With 3 days left til the deadline, they turned in 431,063.
So that guaranteed they made it.
But literally buckets of mailed in petitions came pouring in the final days.
The heroes at Let’s Go Washington worked their butts off in those final 3 days to get all that mail opened, counted, scanned, and organized for Friday’s turn-in.
They were scanning petitions all the way until the very end because they want to built a monster database of motivated volunteers to help with future signature drives.
The result?
In the final 3 days, an avalance of petitions w/ 163,049 signatures came in.

So their final number of signature collected and turned in was if 546,002.
That a near-impossibee achievement.
Another thank you to them it totally justified.

If you haven’t already, I urge you to send an email to the leaders who made this miracle happen.

I can’t thank you enough for giving the voters of Washington the chance to ban the ban on natural gas this November. You pulled off a miracle. You collected and turned in 431,000+ voter signatures in 44 days! It’s amazing.
$2.2 million is a huge investment of your own personal resources and it means so much to me that you were willing to do that for everyone.
The Democrats in the Legislature did everything they could to stop you: they waited until the last day to pass it. They slapped an emergency clause on it so you’d be forced to do an initiative and not a referendum (doubling the number of signatures you needed to collect).
And knowing that you couldn’t file your initiative until it was signed into law, Inslee waited a full 30 days before he finally signed it. Then opponents filed a bogus, time-consuming legal challenge to the AG’s ballot title to delay the start of the signature drive even more.
Yet despite all those monkey wrenches and roadblocks, you overcame it all and succeeded.

You’ve given me hope that there are still men and women in Washington state who are heroes who will never give up and will continue to fight to make Washington a better place to live. I admire you, IÂ thank you.
Your accomplishment with Initiative 2066 reminds me why it’s so wonderful to live in a free country where the people have the power to have the final say (but boy, the big guys sure do make it tough).
Thank you for your hard work, leadership, and sacrifice.
— END —
I am elated that there was so much grassroots support to “ban the ban on natural gas.” And so happy there were heroic citizens who were willing to overcome tremendous adversity and still succeed.
I really hope you’ll send these heroes a(nother) thank you — they really do deserve it.
Is it any wonder why Bully Bob Ferguson is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

He’s wasted more taxpayer money going after me than all other cases in the last 12 years COMBINED!

I urge you to help me fight back against the AG’s abuse of power by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so we can get this ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.
