The Secretary of State has a singular focus when it comes to verifying a signature on a petition. 

Is the signer a WA voter and does their signature match the one on file?

If they are and it does, then it’s a valid signature and it counts.  

Since 1999, 70+ ballot measure campaigns have turned in 25 million signatures and thanks to the Secretary of State’s thorough checking system, not once has a bad signature ever been counted.
