House Bill 1628 makes housing more expensive (raises property taxes) to pay for more affordable housing.

This doesn’t rob Peter to pay Paul — this bill actually robs Paul to pay for Paul.

I urge all legislators to oppose House Bill 1628 because it RADICALLY increases property taxes (making housing less affordable) to pay for more affordable housing. It’s nuts! Voters have consistently rejected raising ANY taxes because we NEVER received the $30 Tabs we voted for 3 times. And because we’re all still recovering from the 900 days of Inslee’s one-man government. I’m against the legislature increasing any taxes or fees this session — we’re taxed enough already. The taxpayers of Washington cannot afford the insatiable tax appetite of Olympia.
