Valid votes should count, invalid votes should not.

That simple policy is the way it oughta be in every state in the nation.

But as you know, presidential elections are decided by the electoral college meaning only a handful of states decide who wins.

For nearly 2 years, I’ve been part of team of amazing activists who are committed to ensuring honest elections in 2024 and beyond.

We’ve targeted key swing states (the ones where Trump was winning on election night but flipped to Biden later). 

We targeted 7 states last cycle and are targeting 10 states in the next cycle.

It’s been a remarkably successful effort and I’m very proud to be part of it. 

For the past 2 weeks I’ve been working super hard on these Election Integrity Initiatives (and yes, of course I’m trying my best to convince my team to add Washington state to our list of states to target).

Understandably, few people can have faith in a government program where it’s just a big black box that doesn’t allow citizens to see inside it.

Instead, we have nothing but politicians and bureaucrats saying “trust us, it’s working great.” 

That doesn’t instill confidence. 

What convinced me the system isn’t legit was the reaction to the Election Integrity Initiative we did in other states, especially Michigan.

Polls showed that “photo ID to vote” had nearly 80% voter support. 

So if we succeeded at getting it on the ballot, it was going to pass.

Opponents knew that too.

So when we began the signature drive (which is where I brought to bear my 2 decades of experience), the opposition went nuclear. They raised millions of dollars within days of our announcement. They used their millions to target petitioners. They put bounties of the heads of petitioners. They paid petitioners to NOT collect signatures!

I’d never seen anything like it.

If everything was legit and only valid votes counted and invalid votes didn’t, then requiring voters to prove who they were wouldn’t cause the other side to freak out so much. The other side clearly believes the current system favors them and honest elections would not.

Fortunately, we overcame their thuggish tactics and qualified the initiative.

We’re in the midst of replicating our successes in 10 other key swing states in the next cycle.

So now I’m not only promoting initiatives in Washington state (way to go Jim Walsh!!!), I’m also doing them throughout the nation. 

It’s a lot of work but totally worth it. 

Is it any wonder the AG is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

Every day you help me fight back is another day Ferguson failed to stop us.
