Now help me kill another idiotic Democrat bill — this bill bans odd year elections.

Ya, I know, crazy isn’t it?

It would lump together ALL the elections into even numbered years — so you’d be voting on state initiatives, President, US Senate, US House, all statewide elected offices, all legislative offices, but also local initiatives, local mayor races, city council races, school board races, park district races …

The ballot will be a mile long and the voters pamphlet will be phone book thick.

Help me stop it.

I urge you to oppose ESHB 1932.

Taking away odd year elections will result in ballots being a mile long and voters pamphlets being as thick as phone books.

The Secretary of State opposes this — county auditors oppose this. They point out it’ll be a nightmare for them.

The Seattle Times has come out strongly against this.

Taking away the people’s right to vote in odd years is a horrible idea.

Don’t do it.

Leave the system the way it’s been for 50 years.

It’s what the voters are used to.
