I drove to and from Olympia yesterday so I could speak for 1 minute at the official hearing. HB 1628 is beyond absurd — it increases the cost of housing to make housing more affordable. It’s nuts. Watch my very short testimony and tell me how I did.

Also, I’ll soon have video of my speech at last night’s Eastside Republican Club meeting (thanks to Muckraker Studio!).

Early morning yesterday, I jumped on the elevator to go down to the garage to get my car and trek to Olympia:

I showed up an hour early and waited outside the hearing room.

Once the 2 hour meeting started, we were notified that House Bill 1628 would be heard last (the most controversial bills are consistently relegated to the end to limit public comment).

It’s a standard trick they play.

I waited an hour and half until it was my turn to testify.

Once they finally got to the hearing on the bill, they said, “well, will you look at that, it looks like we don’t have much time left and with so many people wanting to testify on HB 1628, we’re going to have to limit each person’s testimony to 1 minute.”

Typical.

The two guys before me had great facts and figures that showed why this was a bad bill.

But both of them were pretty sedate.

I was not.

I really want your feedback — tell me how I did (because I want to get better).

Is it any wonder that Bully Bob Ferguson is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I really need your help to survive Bully Bob Ferguson’s litigation / persecution of me and my family.

The only reason we’re still here is thanks to the heartfelt prayers and generous support from friends like you.

Please donate to my legal defense fund today (see below).

Last August, when the AG took my house and drained all my bank accounts (I was allowed to keep $1500), things for me and my family shifted from REALLY WANTING help to DESPERATELY NEEDING help.

I urge you to help me survive this political persecution by donating to my legal defense fund so that Richard Sanders can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned so this never happens to anyone else.
