Help me stop HB 1628 that’s supposed to make housing more affordable by making it more costly (nuts!). Hearing today at 10:30am (Tues, Feb 7th). Not too late to help. If you haven’t already, send emails to all 147 legislators. I also ask you to join me in testifying against it (or you can submit written testimony) — I show you how — it’s pretty easy.

Also, I’ll be speaking at the Eastside Republican Club’s meeting tonight, 6:30-8:30pm, Tues, Feb 7. Legislative leader Jim Walsh is the opener — I’m the closer. It’ll be held at the Eagles Club in Kirkland (258 Central Way in Kirkland). Click on the image below to learn more:

I’ll be testifying against House Bill 1628 today (Tues, Feb 7, 10:30am).

I’m trekking to Olympia right now to testify in person.

Since you’re a normal person who no doubt works for a living, I urge you to testify against it by ZOOM or submit written testimony against it.

I show you how — it’s pretty darn easy.

In addition, if you haven’t already, I implore you to back me up by sending emails to all 147 legislators telling them to STOP this nutty bill (House Bill 1628).

As you can see above, over the past 10 years, Olympia has raised taxes 41 times costing taxpayers $62.3 billion.

How can they possibly think we can afford any more?

House Bill 1628 is supposed to make housing more affordable by making it more expensive.

It imposes a massive increase in property taxes (the Real Estate Excise Tax) which will result in less affordable housing which is exactly the opposite of what they say the bill does.

It’s like Alice in Wonderland where up is down and down is up.

It’s really nuts!

If you haven’t already: send 2 separate emails: one to Senate and one to the House.

Copy and paste this into the Subject line:
I urge all legislators to oppose House Bill 1628 because it says it’s supposed to make housing more affordable by making housing more costly (massive increase in property taxes, specifically the Real Estate Excise Tax). It’s nuts.

1st email, send it to SENATORS: Copy and paste this into the “To:” line:

What should you write in the body of your email? Copy & paste this (or write something on your own):

I urge all legislators to oppose House Bill 1628. It imposes a massive increase in property taxes (making housing less affordable) to supposedly make housing more affordable. It’s nuts! In the past 10 years, the Legislature has raised taxes 41 times costing taxpayers over $62.3 billion. How can you possibly think we can afford any more? Besides, we NEVER received the $30 Tabs we voted for 3 times — insulting us by saying we were confused by $30 Tabs makes us adamantly opposed to any tax or fee increases this session. We’re taxed enough already. The taxpayers of Washington cannot afford the insatiable tax appetite of Olympia.

SEND YOUR EMAILS RIGHT AWAY (if you have problems, let me know, I’ll help).

And I just checked this morning — it’s not too late to sign up to testify (either remotely or in writing).

This is really important. I’m very grateful to everyone who helps me with this.

Please send 2 emails and join me in testifying against it remotely or submit your written testimony against it.

And you’re invited to join me at tonight’s Eastside Republican Club meeting (6:30-8:30pm) where I’ll be speaking at the Kirkland Eagles Club (258 Central Way in Kirkland). Superstar legislative leader Jim Walsh will get the ball rolling and then when he’s done, I’ll be talking about this year’s legislative session, Bully Bob Ferguson, taxes, election integrity in Washington and across the nation, the legislative attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights, and much more.

Is it any wonder that Bully Bob Ferguson is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I really need your help to survive Bully Bob Ferguson’s litigation / persecution of me and my family.

The only reason we’re still here is thanks to the heartfelt prayers and generous support from friends like you.

Please donate to my legal defense fund today (see below).

Last August, when the AG took my house and drained all my bank accounts (I was allowed to keep $1500), things for me and my family shifted from REALLY WANTING help to DESPERATELY NEEDING help.

I urge you to help me survive this political persecution by donating to my legal defense fund so that Richard Sanders can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned so this never happens to anyone else.
