Join me tomorrow @ 9:00am (Mon, March 30) in Olympia for Ferguson’s bill signing of the Democrats’ Destructive Income Tax. BONUS: get a free Governor’s pen to collect signatures for its repeal.

2ND BONUS: we’ll appear in the official bill signing photo. BE PART OF HISTORY. Meet me inside the State Reception Room in the Capitol building on the 3rd floor.

We will be there to represent the MILLIONS of voters opposed to this, to stand up for VOTERS who have 11 TIMES rejected a state income tax at the ballot box, and to send a message to the state supreme court that Our Income IS our property (it was our property in 1933 and it’s still our property NOW AND FOREVER).

Fighting for taxpayers for 29 years

Thanks to Initiative Superstar Brian Heywood and his team (and voters of course), the Parents Rights Initiative was passed into law in 2024.

But then Democrats pushed a bill last year gutting it.

We all vigorously fought against it.

Sometimes calmly:

 Sometimes, not so calmly:

So when Bob Ferguson held a PUBLIC bill signing in a PUBLIC building and he gutted the Parents Rights Initiative with a stroke of a Governor’s pen, I went there to represent all of us who opposed it.

I was there because I wanted to be in the official photo for the bill signing so that history would forever record our opposition:

I also went there to get a Governor’s pen — which everyone is entitled to receive that attends a bill signing — so I could use it to collect signatures for Brian Heywood’s initiative that reversed what Ferguson did at the bill signing (and which will pass overwhelmingly in November):

For that bill signing, I went there alone.

I can do this kind of thing because I’m a full-time political activist (despite Fascist Fergie’s straitjacket) and because I fully understand and appreciate the fact that “our people” are normal … meaning they work for a living … making it difficult if not impossible for our side to take time off from work to show up in Olympia for these kinds of things.

So I do it to represent us.

And I’m going to do it again tomorrow.

But this time, I hope I’m not alone.

Because this time, I’m inviting EVERYONE to join me at Ferguson’s bill signing tomorrow morning and join me in peacefully protesting this arrogant, lawless, unconstitutional injustice — the imposition of the Democrats’ Destructive Income Tax that hurts everyone in our state.

During the session, we all fought against it.

Sometimes calmly:

And sometimes, not so calmly:

Despite overwhelming, record-setting opposition, the Democrats’ Destructive Income Tax bill was approved after a heroic effort by Republican lawmakers to stop it:

— END —

BE PART OF HISTORY and be there w/ me on the last day of this battle (we will win the war).

Here’s what it was like last time so you know what to expect (last year, the bill signing was in the Governor’s office on the 2nd floor in BUT TOMORROW, THEY’RE DOING THE BILL SIGNING ON THE 3RD FLOOR IN THE STATE RECEPTION ROOM).

I showed up early and was 1st in line — this stood right outside the door (expect the same sign tomorrow outside the State Reception Room on the 3rd floor of the Capitol building):

As I waited, a line formed behind me of those who wanted to show their support for taking away the right of parents to know what is happening to their kids while in school (freak show!).

We were then called in.

For whatever reason, a “lane” opened up and I managed to position myself right behind Ferguson.

And thanks to Brandi Kruse, A LOT folks saw it and took great satisfaction in it:

It was and is a powerful image.

But this is better:

Let me say again, this is a PUBLIC bill signing in a PUBLIC building and so the opponents of the Democrats’ Destructive Income Tax have JUST AS MUCH RIGHT to be there as the bill’s supporters do.

With the Parents Rights bill signing, I decided that “I’m just standing here in respectful opposition” was the best approach.

In years past, I’ve done it differently.

Here’s when Chris Gregoire suspended our 2/3-vote-to-raise-taxes initiative (we reversed it a few months later).

Here’s when Gregoire signed a bill allowing local governments to raise car tab fees (voters reversed that with our 3rd $30 Tabs Initiative in 2019 but then … grrrrr!):

And here’s when Gregoire announced she wasn’t going to run for another 4 year term:

Tomorrow?

Who knows.

If you decide to join me (again, it’s 9am tomorrow, Mon, March 30, State Reception Room, 3rd floor of the Capitol Bldg, Olympia), you are free to conduct yourself as you see fit. Be mindful that you are representing not just yourself but everyone on our side (and be aware the State Patrol is ever-present to keep the peace).

Rest assured, that if you come, you won’t be alone. I’ll be there w/ you.

And don’t forget: you’ll walk out w/ a Governor’s pen for coming:

I’ll let you know how it goes.

For 29 years, I’ve been fighting for the people of our state and our nation.

I urge you to help me fight back against his abuse of power by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so Richard Sanders and the Pacific Legal Foundation can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.
