The newest tax calculations for this year are completed. Our tax initiatives have saved the average household in WA a total of $23,718 so far ($75.9 BILLION overall). Those are DIRECT savings from lower car tab taxes and limits on property tax increases. What those savings don’t include are the INDIRECT savings — how much more have we, by working together, saved taxpayers because we deterred politicians from proposing higher taxes in the first place? How much more did we save taxpayers because we stopped them from passing tax hikes they did propose? We can’t quantify all those but you know in your gut it’s YUGE!

That’s $23,718 in direct tax savings per household over the past 29 years.

We accomplished all of that by WORKING TOGETHER.
It was never easy.
It was really really hard.
But we persevered.
And THAT has been the key ingredient to our collective success:
I was recently talking with a supporter and I told him:
“Don’t think of us as a stock, we’re more like a mutual fund.”
By that, I mean in order to calculate your “political return on investment” (adding up all the time and effort and financial support you’ve provided over the years), you can’t just look at any single battle or any one year.
You have to look at the overall impact we’ve had.
And by any measure, it has been UNPRECEDENTED!
And that’s just the DIRECT IMPACT!

You have to also consider the INDIRECT impact:
First and foremost, I thank God for providing me with such a great family, friends, and supporters who have made all of our successes possible.
But personally, it all came with a heavy price.
Our ongoing successes, especially from 1999-2012, made me a huge target for AG Bob Ferguson:
It was then, in 2012, after the stunning success of one of our 2/3-Vote-To-Raise-Taxes Initiatives passed, that’s when the 13+ years of investigation, litigation, and persecution began.
He’s spent more taxpayer money going after me and my family than all other cases in the past 13 years COMBINED!
The ONLY reason I was targeted was because of this:
$75.9 BILLION!
For 29 years, I’ve been fighting for the people of our state and our nation.
