Fighting for taxpayers for 28Â years
So on Friday was the scheduled court hearing on one of Brian Heywood’s Parents Rights Initiative.
I showed up early (as always):
I went inside and was ready and rarin’ to go as I saw my case on the screen:
But a funny thing happened on my way to the courtroom …Â
Here’s what’s going on and why this was actually a good thing.
Initiatives are really really tough.
Drafting one, collecting enough voter signatures to qualify for a public vote, overcoming the opposition and having voters pass it, and then getting it through the courts … that’s a Herculean task.Â
It’s important to get the language “just right.”

He’s right to do so.
Because as I’ve certainly learned after doing this for nearly 30 years, your first version is rarely the best version.Â
That’s why Friday’s cancellation was actually a good thing — it shows he’s finetuning his initiative and it’s getting better with each successive version.
He wants to get it “just right.”
I’ll continue to keep you updated as this moves forward.

Thank you, Tim, for your hard work and dedication to all Washingtonians in making legislation right and bringing common sense back to the beautiful state we all love so much. Your fight for all of us does not go unnoticed. As I may be just one, I want to truly thank you on behalf of everyone who believes in the work you do for us. Bob Ferguson is not better than Jay Inslee. You fought for fair vehicle registration, which is exactly what the voters wanted. Then Olympia highjacked fees and robbed us of our vote. The folks on the left aisle have stripped away our parental rights, imposed a taxpayer reparation program for the black community at 0% interest, and then decided to write those loans off completely, gifting away our hard-earned tax dollars, encouraging the mutilation of our children, and pushing the gender ideology, confusing those who struggle even more. At some point, this all has to come to an end, and those who truly believe that government should not be raising our children, those who have common sense, have to stand together. Fight, but not in the same way as the far-left radicals or Antifa, as they destroy property and hurt our neighbors with no apology.
