THIS WEEK’S REPORT: doing our best to stop bad bills. I spent a lot of time in rooms packed w/ all the pigs feeding at the trough.

Fighting for Taxpayers for 26 years
I knew those dirty dog Democrats would immediately conduct hearings on A LOT of bad bills this week.
It’s one of the sneakiest things they do. Before anyone even knows Olympia is up-and-running, Democrats schedule “public” hearings and pack the room with all the pigs feeding at the trough.
Typical.
Fortunately, we were ready for that.
Here are 3 highlights from this week:
1) Yesterday there was a hearing on a bill raising property taxes. I and others were there to fight back.
Here’s a portion of my testimony: “I’m an initiative activist. It is what I was born to do. If I’ve proven anything over the past 27 years, it is that I am resilient and persistent. I’m like the Terminator – I will never stop.”
Too subtle?

Thanks to all of you, 4 times more people registered their opposition to the bill than supported it.
GREAT JOB!
2) I and others testified on a bill that is a baby step toward cleaning up the voter rolls. I made some serious points but I also took the occasion to mock Bob Ferguson for his “Fishy Fergie checks” (here’s a great story about that: AG Bob Ferguson sent taxpayer-funded bribes to dead people).

Fishy Fergie checks provide a perfect preview of the incompetence we’ll get if he becomes Governor.
3) Radio superstar John Carlson invited me on his show to talk about a horrible bill that bans odd year elections. To listen to it, click on the image (it’s 8 min):

I’m really impressed with the hundreds of you who emailed legislators, testified in-person or by ZOOM, and submitted written testimony.
By working together, we are forcing them to hear from us regular citizens.
Over the next several days, I’ll be giving everyone multiple opportunities to tell legislators to reject a bill that would eliminate the 1% property tax cap which has been protecting taxpayers over the past 22 years.
The hearing on that horrible bill (Senate Bill 5770) is next Thurs @ 4pm. I’m gonna need everyone’s help to stop those dirty dog Democrats from taking away that protection.
Thanks to your prayers, friendship, and support, I’ve been able to keep fighting.
I urge you to support the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so Richard can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.
Every time you help is another chance for you to make sure Bob Ferguson fails to stop us!
