Standing up for Parents Rights by standing behind Bob Ferguson. “Are you really gonna do this?” he asks. “I’m just standing here in respectful opposition.”

Fighting for taxpayers for 28 years
Thanks to the heroes at Let’s Go Washington and all of you, nearly 500,000 voters signed petitions to get a public vote on the Parents Rights Initiative.
To prevent the people from voting because they knew the voters were going to overwhelmingly pass it, the Democrat-controlled legislature in 2024 prevented that public vote by passing the initiative into law themselves.
Last January, a King County judge ruled the initiative was perfectly legal and constitutional.

Nonetheless, during this session, the House and Senate Democrats set out to gut the Parents Rights Initiative.
We did everything we could to stop them.
We fought them when we were allowed to talk:
… as well as when we were prevented from talking:
Despite widespread citizen opposition, the Democrats jammed through a bill that guts the Parents Rights Initiative.
Today at 9:30am was the bill signing ceremony in the Governor’s conference room.

Since it was a PUBLIC bill signing in a PUBLIC building, any citizen can go and participate.
99.9% of the time only bill supporters show up.
I decided to go to represent the 100’s of thousands of voters who strongly oppose what they’ve done.
I showed up early and was first in line to get in:

It caused quite a stir — lots of dirty looks and snide comments –several actually tried to block me from entering.
I peacefully and assertively made it passed them.
As folks continued to file in, I found myself behind Bob Ferguson.

He eventually turned around, saw me, I reached out, shook his hand and said “How are ya … good to see ya”.
Clearly perplexed, he eventually asks, “Are you really gonna do this?”
I calmly responded: “I’m just standing here in respectful opposition.”
After an awkward and extended pause, he asks again “Really?”
I looked him right in the eye and said “Absolutely”

Fidgeting and uncomfortable, he finally says “Got it.”
As he talked about the bill, I did my best to show my displeasure:

As I was driving back to Bellevue, I saw this:
If you can pull it up, you can watch her short video clip of it here.
And yes, since it was a bill signing, I of course asked for and was handed a governor’s pen.

I’ll be using it to collect signatures for my referendum (if I can get the Secretary of State to follow the law) or for a Let’s Go Washington initiative.
I’m doing everything I can to restore the Parents Rights Initiative.
For 28 years, I’ve been fighting for our state and our nation.
I urge you to help me get this ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.

The only reason I’m still here and I’m still fighting is because of the prayers, love, and support of wonderful friends like you who’ve seen this gross injustice and abuse of power and are willing to help.

I love you all.
Onward!
