Today is my actual 60th birthday! Here’s some significant moments in my life (personal today, political tomorrow). Good stuff. BIG FAVOR — best possible birthday gift is helping me overcome Fascist Ferguson’s persecution of me and my family by donating to my legal defense fund. Let’s make sure this never happens to anyone else.

In response to my update 2 weeks ago announcing my upcoming birthday (PLEASE WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Turning 60 is a big milestone …), many of you responded.
Thank you all for your kind words.
Today (Dec 22) is my actual birthday.
How do I summarize 60 years?
That’d take forever.
So I’ve decided to briefly share some significant moments in my life.
Today’s update is personal stuff — tomorrow’s update will be political stuff.
HERE GOES:
My birth mother had me on Dec 22, 1965 (check out that huge Charlie Brown head!):

Through Catholic Family Services she put me up for adoption (forever grateful to her for that).

I was baptized at Holy Family Church on Feb 6, 1966:

I was now the youngest Eyman — I was very fortunate to be adopted into such a great family. Dad (Don) was very kind, Mom (Dolores) was quite the talker, my sister Denise was the responsible one, and my brother Dan was hilarious.

FUN FACT — all through grade school, I’d ride my bike to the local drug store and buy Jolly Ranchers for 10 cents each, carried them in a brown paper lunch sack during school, and sold ’em for 25 cents (went home each day with pockets full of quarters!):

While in high school, I got my adoption records opened:

Only tidbit I was able to find was that both my birth parents graduated from major universities — with that little bit of information and many months of creative sleuthing, I was able to locate both of them — amazingly they were both political science majors (birth mother UW, birth father Berkeley) so it’s clear that politics is in my blood!!
After graduating from Yakima’s West Valley High School, I got an academic scholarship and decided to go to WSU:

At WSU, in addition to schoolwork, I was a walk-on for the wrestling team and loved it:

And I belonged to great fraternity where I had an awesome band of brothers:

One of my favorite memories during that time was when several of my fraternity brothers and I founded and organized a fundraiser — the Domino’s Pizza Run. With 60 guys on a bus for 2 days — each running 1 mile at a time — we carried an actual 16-inch pepperoni pizza from Pullman to Seattle:

After graduating with a business degree, I founded and ran a mail-order company for 14 years that marketed and sold fraternity & sorority watches nationwide to the parents of kids in school — it was just me working out of a 1-bedroom apartment but I made it sound big (Insignia Corporation — ooo aww):

It was during this time that I met Karen — I proposed to her 3 months later and we were married exactly 1 year from the day we met. We adopted Jackson on June 30, 1998, Jeremy on Feb 4, 2000, and Riley on May 5, 2008.

To celebrate my birthday today, me and my 3 kiddos are going to see the movie Avatar.

As all 3 of them would attest, I am a movie maniac — I’ve been taking them to movie theatres all their lives.
60 years.
It’s been one helluva ride.
Despite all the difficult challenges I’ve faced in my life, I wouldn’t change a thing.
I know I’m very, very lucky.
In addition to my family, I am blessed with caring friends who have stood by me for decades:

BIG FAVOR — best possible birthday gift is helping me overcome Fascist Ferguson’s persecution of me and my family by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so Richard Sanders and the Pacific Legal Foundation can appeal the AG’s absurd ruling:

Hi Tim, As someone who has passed that (66 years young)! I find it’s wise to pace oneself! Can still be active just more wisely! I had once some time ago fitness coach that reminded me that if I took wise self care of body it would take care of me. I now understand what that means after a wonderful reset healthwise! Be careful about overdoing it ! (Learned that the hard way!)thanks and Happy 60th!!
