UPDATE on my appeal: lower court ruled, Appeals Court ruled, now it’s onto the State Supreme Court. Great amicus filed (it shows how absurd this is).

As I trek to Whidbey Island for today’s launch of the signature drive for Larry Jensen’s pro-2nd Amendment Initiative, I wanted to share with you an UPDATE on my appeal.

The lower court rubber-stamped the AG’s ruling.

The Court of Appeals overturned some of it and affirmed other parts of it.

Now it’s the state supreme court’s turn to hear it (which has been briefed and will be argued by my superhero attorney — and former state supreme court justice — Richard Sanders):

Richard is doing a fantastic job highlighting the fundamental flaws in the AG’s ruling.

I’m absolutely thrilled to share with everyone a great amicus brief that was filed in the case in support of our position that this whole thing is absolutely absurd.

It came in from an organization in Phoenix Arizona called “The Goldwater Institute.”

I urge you to read it — it’s incredibly well-written, well-documented, well-sourced.

If Bob Ferguson gets away with this with me, he’ll use my case as a legal precedent and target others. And then our side will start using it to target activists on the left.

It’ll be an all-out war. And it’ll have a chilling effect on all political activity from people across the political spectrum.

And I cannot — I will not — let that happen.
