Last August, Pasco’s Mayor and City Council did something really bad. When I learned about it, I did my best to put a spotlight on it and asked all of you to help:

Sept 3: I urge EVERYONE to send an email to Pasco’s politicians. Tell ’em DON’T raise taxes w/out a vote of the people.

Sept 11: Join me in person or remotely (Mon, 7pm) and let’s slam Pasco Mayor & City Council for deciding to raise taxes at secret meeting without public input

Sept 15: PRAYERS PLEASE — I’m trekking to & from Pasco today to battle w/ their politicians. Message: NO MORE TAXES especially w/out voter approval.

Sept 16: Watch SHORT VIDEO of me ripping Pasco politicians. 8 hours of driving to rip into a bunch of Sneaky, Tax-Hiking Politicians for 3 minutes. WORTH IT!

Sept 17: Pasco politicians are squealing like stuck pigs because we’re putting a bright spotlight on their secret tax-hiking scheme.

Sept 19: What’s not to love about this! TRI-CITY HERALD: WA firebrand Eyman digs into proposed car tab taxes & sales taxes, blasts Pasco politicians online

Sept 23: “DON’T LET EYMAN STOP YOU FROM RAISING TAXES.” Tax-loving newspaper rips me for ripping tax-hiking politicians.

Well, here it is 2 months later and it’s now abundantly clear our Squeaky Wheel Strategy paid off.

At their meeting 2 days ago, Pasco’s Mayor and City Council reversed themselves — now they’re saying the only way taxes will go up is with voter approval at the ballot box.

And instead of unilaterally increasing car tab taxes, which they were in favor of in August, all of them now oppose any increase in car tab taxes (if you want to watch their discussion, click here and fast forward to the 51 minute mark on this YouTube video).

This is a HUGE victory not just for Pasco taxpayers but for all taxpayers in WA.
