Fighting for taxpayers for 27 years
For over 2 decades, I’ve been defending the initiative process.
For over 2 decades, the Democrats have been trying to undermine it.
The latest example is Bob Ferguson sabotaging tax initiatives.
As we suggested, initiative sponsor Jim Walsh hired superstar attorney Joel Ard to challenge it.
Their approach was to say the AG couldn’t do that to Jim’s 3 initiatives.
I filed an amicus brief in that case pointing out the illegality and unconstitutionality of the law itself.
But the AG objected to it, saying those points weren’t in the Walsh / Ard lawsuit (the judge eventually ruled against them).
So 3 days later, I filed a separate lawsuit challenging the law itself.
With ballots scheduled to be printed soon, I asked for an expedited hearing.
Bob Ferguson, however, complained that I hadn’t given him enough time to defend the law.
The judge went along with that and said I needed to refile it (“Plaintiff’s request for declaratory judgment will be considered in a manner consistent with proper court procedure.”)
So for the past 6 weeks I’ve been working on that.
Yesterday, I filed my new lawsuit against Bob Ferguson to stop him from sabotaging tax initiatives.

As I said, I really want your feedback.
I’m incredibly lucky to have so many friends in my corner as I fight back against the AG.
Because of your support, I am appealing the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling because it’s so absurd:
* Lifetime ban on all future political activity?
* I’m no longer a person, I’m forever designated a ‘continuing political committee’?
* $5.5 million?
* Prohibiting me from earning money for the rest of my life?
I urge you to help me fight back against the AG by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund RIGHT NOW!

Hi Tim gave feedback on yesterday’s brief filed . It was jam packed so reply reflected that . Thanks!
I believe you presented irrefutable arguments. If there was any chance of prevailing, your case should. We are pulling for you.
Very well crafted, Tim.
I believe this lawsuit will likely place on hold the initiative vote results and any implementation, pending a re-vote with proper ballot titles.
Bob Ferguson would be a TERRIBLE governor, should he be elected.
