A LOT OF HATE AT THE NO HATE CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF IN SEATTLE. Check out short VIDEO. I went to represent those of us who believe in PARENTS RIGHTS & PROTECTING GIRLS SPORTS. One person disagreeing with them was one too many.

Yesterday, I trekked to Seattle for the campaign kick-off for the opposition to the Parents Rights Initiative and the Protect Girls Sports Initiative both of which will be on this November’s ballot.
I figured there ought to be one person there to represent the 80%+ of voters who support these common sense initiatives.
Ironically, they’re calling their campaign: NO HATE IN WA STATE
That’s certainly not what I saw and experienced.
I parked and readied myself for what was to come.

I signed up for my “E-ticket” as I walked over there.

I went through security, showed ’em my ticket, and went inside.

It was pretty dark and not very crowded.

I positioned myself near the signs and merchandise table.

It gave me a pretty good view of the speakers:

Here’s short 15 second video to give you an idea of what it was like (click on image):
OBSERVATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
* Got lots of dirty looks, snide comments, and periodic in-my-face confrontation. I stayed calm and was always polite. Whenever confronted, I reached into my pocket and handed them a handwritten index card:

* EVERY speaker spit out HATE toward Brian Heywood (important fact that none of them can grasp: Brian can’t MAKE people sign his petitions and he can’t FORCE voters to vote for his initiatives).
* After the event was over, a young woman took it upon herself to “educate” me. It went on for about 10 minutes. “You snuck in here to spy on us.” “No, I got a ticket and came to watch.” “What did you learn?” “I thought King County Executive Girmay Zahilay was a good speaker.” “Oh, so you were only impressed by a MAN speaking.”

She was desperate to get me to react. My “politeness” only drove her crazier. The place was pretty loud (a DJ was playing music) and it wasn’t crowded, so when she raised her voice louder and louder, no one really noticed.

She continued to escalate but when I kept being nice, she ran out of steam. Just before she walked away, I handed her one of my NO HATE index cards – she tore it up (I know, ya gotta love the irony).
We can’t allow ourselves to be bullied or intimidated by our opponents. We have to be willing to go EVERYWHERE they go to show the voters that we are proud to stand up for parents rights and to protect girls sports.
As always, I welcome your feedback.
For 29 years, I’ve been fighting for our state and our nation.
Is it any wonder Bully Bob Ferguson is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I urge you to help me survive this political persecution by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so we can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.

The only reason I’m still here and I’m still fighting is because of the prayers, love, and support of wonderful friends like you who’ve seen this gross injustice and abuse of power and are willing to help.

I love you all.

VERY EXCITING NEWS:

Tim many of these are progressive Dems. They think they know what’s best for us better than we do! Been around for quite some time.
They’re showing themselves for who they are! And are well entrenched !
