I got there early (as I always do):
I sat in the front row (as I always do):
Before it started, the chairwoman of the committee approached me and pointed out I had signed up for every bill and asked if I’d agree to do just one.
I agreed.
They called my name — I had 90 seconds.
But instead of allowing me to speak, they kept interrupting me.

After finishing my Senate testimony, I had to immediately leave to make it over to the House in time to testify there.

This time I had just 60 seconds – I did my best to make the most of it:
Same cold stares and rolling eyes but at least they didn’t interrupt me.
There were other hearings but these 2 were the biggies.
I wasn’t able to start driving back home until late:
So that’s my report on DAY 1.
I’m driving back down there again today and other days this week to testify at even more hearings. When bad bills pop up, I’ll be asking for your help. Be ready!
