I was surrounded by SUPERHEROES this weekend — Brian Heywood, Brandi Kruse, Jim Walsh, Katy Faust, & many more. They’re willing to be the tip of the spear for all of us. Ya gotta admire their courage. It’s a compliment to earn protesters.

This past weekend I found myself surrounded by SUPERHEROES.
These courageous souls are willing to be the tip of the spear for all of us.
On Saturday, 100 protesters showed up for this:

Their message wasn’t subtle:

It’s always a compliment to earn protesters — it’s clear cut evidence that you’re being effective.

As for the superheroes, let’s start with the big enchilada — initiative superstar Brian Heywood, the sponsor and promoter of the newly released Income Tax Repeal Initiative (order petitions here), as well as the 2 initiatives he already qualified for this November’s ballot (the Protect Girls Sports Initiative and the Restore Parents Rights Initiative). He gave a very powerful and informative pep talk:

Is it just me or does he kinda look like Russell Crowe?
The Master of Ceremonies was Brandi Kruse who had the courage to leave the legacy media and go out on her own and launch the enormously popular, highly ranked podcast unDivided with the help of awesome producer Nicole (sign up here). Brandi made clear she believes THE MOST IMPORTANT initiative on this November’s ballot is the one that protects girls sports.

As you can see, I had a front row seat (thank you, Steve).
We then got to hear from Katy Faust who spoke about her passion for protecting kids from child sex trafficking as well as getting the US Supreme Court to reverse their 5-4 ruling in 2015 (Obergefell) and to (re)establish that marriage is between one man and one woman.

The Seattle Times was kind enough to promote Katy’s organization beforehand (Them Before Us) which no doubt helped boost her support network:

Katy offered the Times a response column (click on image below to read it) but inexplicably, they never got back to her. ![]()
We then heard from the man who never needs a microphone, Jim Walsh who after his barn burner speech was awarded the GOAT trophy for his leadership in the legislature, for sponsoring his Voter ID initiative (order petitions here), and for leading the State GOP (a thankless job I would not wish on my worst enemy):

And finally, I want to highlight one of the greatest grassroots veteran activists in WA state history: Marlyn Jensen from Gig Harbor. I so admire her for how she handled Bob Ferguson crashing their prayer breakfast:

And in typical Marlyn style, she did it with conviction but also grace & elegance.
You’ve heard the saying COURAGE IS CONTAGIOUS.
Each of these courageous individuals is literally putting their lives on the line to advocate for causes they believe in and that are at the very core of their being.
How can anyone not admire that?

As always, I welcome your feedback.
For 29 years, I’ve been fighting for our state and our nation.
Is it any wonder Bully Bob Ferguson is trying so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I urge you to help me survive this political persecution by donating to the Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund so we can get the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional ruling overturned.

The only reason I’m still here and I’m still fighting is because of the prayers, love, and support of wonderful friends like you who’ve seen this gross injustice and abuse of power and are willing to help.

I love you all.
Onward!
Tim
