Things are never predictable in any courtroom in WA state, especially in Thurston County.

So I don’t know what’s going to happen today.

As I explained in yesterday’s update, the Court issued a TEMPORARY hold a few months ago on the Democrats’ law that took away our constitutional right to vote for our local sheriff:

That only happened because of the courage of the local sheriffs who challenged that insidious law and the brilliant briefs and persuasive oral arguments presented by attorneys Joel Ard and Mark Lamb.

It felt great to stand with these heroes as they scored such a huge victory for all of us:

But it was a TEMPORARY.

Now, today at 9am, the sheriffs are asking that same judge to rule that the law is unconstitutional, thus PERMANENTLY protecting our rights.

The AG will try (again) to convince this judge that Bob Ferguson and the Democrats in the Legislature have the power to take away our constitutionally guaranteed right to vote on our local sheriff. 

This is a BIGGIE and it’s happening TODAY @ 9am in Olympia.

I’m urging everyone to join in for this battle – you have 3 options.

It’s in Judge Christine Schaller’s courtroom at Thurston County Superior Court, 2000 Lakeridge Dr SW, Building 2, in Olympia. It starts at 9:00am so I’ll get there around 8:30am. 

It makes a huge difference when there’s a packed courtroom. Judges are more inclined to be fair when they know a lot of citizens are watching.
